High on the mountains of Osterøy. A mere 1 km from Høgafjellet Summit. A cabin in red, perfect for a Sunday´s adventure.
From Osavatn Hydroelectric station there is a convenient place for parking. Seen on the embedded Google Maps, you have to drive on a quite narrow road for some distance, before entering a small parking area. Drive further, you will get to the hydroelectric station where there is a larger area to park. But be weary, the remaining road will not be nice to your car.
Trail starts at Osavatnet Hydroelectric station.
The stairway leading straight up from the station is not to recommendation, as further up the stairs are overgrown and broken. The correct and safe route is ascending the first set of stairs to the right of it (you wont miss it). The path will underpass the decommissioned stairs from the hydroelectric station.
From there, continue on the trail.
´After ascending from Osavatnet. The second lake- Nedre Botnavatnet comes into view.
At the end of Nedre Botnavatnet, the ascend for Øvre Botnavatnet start right behind the white house.
In the summer months there are a lot of vegetation on ascend to Øvre Botnavatnet. It can be quite slippy. Oftentimes you find yourself hiking in a river, and the area is relative muddy.
The next phase is ascending to the mountain ridge. Way up on the hills is a cabin.
The Ridge will lead you sideways of the crater of Øvrebotnen. Step carefully as there is a free fall down.
After a while the official path steers you around the platou where you will find the cabin. The pin on the map below is exactly where you should climb down with a small water to the left.
When you made it down. Keep heading Due South.
The cabin is private, and does not belong to DNT. However, there is a nice log bench free to use (as I know).
There is an alternative route down. It is not on any official map, and quite dangerous. The pin shows where to start the descend.
The rich text element allows you to create and format headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, images, and video all in one place instead of having to add and format them individually. Just double-click and easily create content.
A rich text element can be used with static or dynamic content. For static content, just drop it into any page and begin editing. For dynamic content, add a rich text field to any collection and then connect a rich text element to that field in the settings panel. Voila!
Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the "When inside of" nested selector system.
