Drone photography is an amazing new way for creators to producing what previous was only available to create by large production crew and funding- often shot with a helicopter or plane. Today, one can find hardware to create high production quality content with consumer grade equipment.
Actual flying a drone wherever you would like is a different story. Anyone can potentially go to a store and purchase a drone and start flying immediately. However, you might find out the hard way that some sort of credentials is needed to actually fly one legally.
The following information can be found official on Civil Aviation Authority Norway.
For flying a drone in Norway a set of checkpoints must be performed.
Notam: Flight Planning Map - Norway
Since the inception of drones a decade ago to the consumer market (time flies), there are coming more stricter rules every year on what type of drone and it’seqirements you can fly in a specific subcategory.
One important rule is to fly within 120 meters from closest terrain. In practical terms, imagine a sphere around the drone that measures 120 meters in radius. The ground terrain must be somewhere within that sphere. You also are obligated to have a Visual Line of Sight to it. And of course, transport of dangerous cargo and dropping items is prohibited. Furthermore, you can´t fly above crowds.
Something that every pilot must check before a flight is NOTAM. There you will find information about the airspace, wether or not it is prohibited, and the airport 5 km radius is. For flying within that 5 km mark of an airport, you must be given clearance by the tower. In Norway, that is automated with logging your activity in the app NINOX drone. I highly recommend making sure to set up that app in good time before planned flight, as it can be quite tedious with the security factorisation.
Furthermore, remember to be respectful to wildlife and nature. If for some reason i.e birds attack your drone- you must immediately abort flying and land. Do not engage or continue to fly in the area.

You can fly with a C0 marked drone, and without a C mark if under 250g w/ max speed of 19m/s, without the need of a license.
Moreover, A1/A3 license is needed with C1-marked drones, and unmarked under 500g for 2023 only.
You get A3 simultaneously as with A1. You have to keep clear to housing, commercial industry and recreational areas. No one outside the operation at site. Minimum 30 meter from outsiders to the operation, and the 1:1 rule which regulates the altitude to horizontal distance to outsider.
C1, C2 or C4, including unmarked under 25 kg is required to be flown in this subcategory with valid A1/A3 license.
If your drone is C2 marked, you can fly it as close as 30 meters horizontal distance from outsiders, and 5 meters in slow-speed-mode enabled- 1:1 rule is essential.
For unmarked, it must be under 2 kg, but for 2023 only. in 2024, unmarked under 2 kg must be flown in A3 subcategory.
The reason of why A2 was written last is because A1 and A3 is given simultaneously, and is necessary to get an A2 license.
The new DJI Avata FPV drone can do amazing things, but there are rules that regulate the use of them. If flying an FPV drone you are obliged to have an spotter that can maintain visuals of the environment the drone is flying in.
The only expetion I found to fly without a spotter is to be registered in a modelplane club with NLF. Being registered at flydrone.no is essential.

The rich text element allows you to create and format headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, images, and video all in one place instead of having to add and format them individually. Just double-click and easily create content.
A rich text element can be used with static or dynamic content. For static content, just drop it into any page and begin editing. For dynamic content, add a rich text field to any collection and then connect a rich text element to that field in the settings panel. Voila!
Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the "When inside of" nested selector system.
